Are you looking for a fun and unique activity in the Spokane area that is affordable, educational, and entertaining for people of all ages? Look no further than Mountain Valley Zoological Park & Gardens! We are a local non-profit organization based in beautiful Spokane Valley, and we are dedicated to the study and research of plants and animals living in our area. We have over 100 species of animal living on our lovely 30-acre property, including Icelandic horses, sheep, goats, and a wide variety of birds that includes many rare, exotic, and endangered species. While our Botanical Gardens are closed for the winter, the Zoological Park is open year-round for your enjoyment, and there is always much to see and learn!
Admission is always free for children 2 and under, as well as for veterans, active military personnel, firemen, and policemen. We appreciate the services these people have provided to our country and community and want to make them feel as welcome as possible. Feed is available to give the animals, and we also provide delicious sack lunches, hot cocoa and homemade apple cider to warm you up, and other delicious treats so that your experience at Mountain Valley Zoological Park & Gardens is pleasant and memorable.
We offer a unique opportunity for families, school groups, day cares, and children of all ages to have fun in a relaxed and friendly environment. The Zoological Park & Gardens provides an affordable, family-friendly way to spend an afternoon together. It is not only fun, but can be educational too, as children can learn about the different plants and animals and see how they are cared for. Come by and see us soon! From I-90 East or West
Take the Sullivan Exit (291B) – South for about 3 miles
Turn left on Saltese (east), and continue for .5 mile
Turn right on South Chapman Road (south), and proceed .9 mile
The park will be on the left-hand side of the road – 4301 South Chapman Road
